At Winjeel Aerospace Consultants, we are a dedicated team of four aviation experts. We specialise in propelling aviation projects from concept to reality, ensuring the highest standards in safety, efficiency and service delivery.
OUR CONSULTANTS
Susan Rice
Sue is one of Australia's leading experts in cabin crew operations and safety. Beginning her career with TAA and working with multiple aircraft types before joining Qantas and working in numerous leadership roles . Sue was also appointed as an emergency procedures instructor for our flagship carrier. Sue has worked in senior roles with Australia's aviation regulator CASA and has been an integral part of regulatory oversight and safety working with ICAO and other overseas regulators. She has been a regular attendee at safety conferences around the world and presented papers on numerous safety issues.In addition to running her own cabin safety consulting business she continues to improve and educate on safety and human factors in aviation today.
Phil Cullen
Phil has in excess of 20 years in aviation engineering managerial roles. He has technical qualifications as CASA and FAA LAME and is qualified lead auditor. Phil has previously held senior engineering roles with Jetstar and Qantas Link . Phil also held the position of airworthiness inspector for Australia's aviation regulator CASA. His expertise includes operations and change management, leadership, project management, quality and safety management, regulatory compliance, technical knowledge and planning and budget development.
Captain Derek Fox
Captain Derek Fox has a very proud military history having served our country for 56 years as permanent and reserve officer. He completed a dual military and civilian aviation career occupying pilot and managerial roles within various airlines based in Australia and overseas. Foxy is former CEO and Chief Pilot of Tiger Airlines. In addition, Foxy also worked for Australia's aviation regulator CASA as flying operations inspector. He has held numerous chief pilot roles, check captain and training captain positions. Foxy holds a grade 1 flying instructor rating and low level and formation flying approvals. Foxy has just retired from RAAF 100 squadron as Squadron Leader. He is one of Australia's most highly regarded aviators and military officers.
John Larter
John started flying at 16 and obtained private fixed wing licence with aerobatic and formation approval. He then completed a commercial helicopter licence with low level flying approval. During this time John worked for DHL and was part of the initial operations team that commenced a 727-100 freighter nightly from Sydney to Aukland. He then worked as services manager for DHL in PNG. John then started a 25 year career as a paramedic spending 7 years in air ambulance coordinating fixed and rotary aircraft. John is currently serving his third term on Snowy Valleys council and was previously elected deputy mayor and mayor. He is Chairman of aligned Council of Australia, media presenter with www.clubgrubbery.com.au and also owns a CT4B with Foxy. John is experienced in ground handling and has vast experience in government relations.
